How to Protect Yourself in a Thunderstorm & Earthquake
Objective: To train the children on what they should do and what they shouldn’t do in a thunderstorm or in an earthquake. This will make them well-informed about the subject to spread the training and awareness among the people around them.
Success criteria: They will have all the necessary information about earthquakes and thunderstorms and the safety measures during these. They will also be able to spread awareness.
Training: The Caretaker will teach them various facts about thunderstorms and earthquakes. They will learn what they should do and what they should never do during these, where they can take shelter etc. Then, they will be shown a video for a visual presentation of what they just learned. There will be a Q/A session. The children can ask any question or the caretaker will ask some questions to make sure the children got the information properly. Then they will make a round around their neighborhood with the posters and talk about the safety measures with their neighbors.
Time needed: 5 hours.
