On August 20, 2024, heavy rainfall and water released from upstream in India caused severe flooding in Bangladesh, impacting several districts including Feni, Noakhali, Comilla & Lakshmipur. The floods swept through homes, fields, and lives, resulting in widespread devastation. The floods left 23 dead so far and hundreds are missing.
In response to the devastating August floods affecting 11 districts in Bangladesh, we provided cooked meals to flood victims in Feni, where people lacked the means to prepare food. As the water receded, we distributed food packages containing:

By August 23, 2024, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief reported that 5.7 million people across 77 upazilas in 11 districts were affected. The scale of the disaster is staggering: approximately 193,864 people sought refuge in 3,170 shelters after their homes were submerged or destroyed. Additionally, 17,848 livestock, crucial to their livelihoods, have also been displaced.
