Thunderstorm Awareness and Safety Training
In Bangladesh, thunderstorms occur frequently in the summer, particularly in May. Every year, thunderstorms claim the lives of countless people. Thus, it is very important for everyone to be aware of how to protect themselves during this.
Our sponsored children took part in our thunderstorm safety program. They learned what to do and what they shouldn't do during a thunderstorm; for example, avoiding windows when inside a house or avoiding higher grounds when outside during a thunderstorm, and many more such basic safety rules. They made posters and some of them spread the information they had learned in the community as well.
