Visualization has been shown to be an excellent way to improve understanding of a topic. It is more effective if the visual aids are made by the students themselves. So, we held a drawing program for the sponsored children. In this program, they drew any figure they wanted from a subject they find difficult.
Science is a difficult subject for the majority of our sponsored children. Hence, they drew several figures from their textbook. When they drew each component of those figures themselves, they got a better understanding of how each of those components takes part in the whole process. Drawing the picture helped them comprehend those topics better through visualization. It also helped lessen their fear of science to some extent. They had a great time doing this as well.
