Bangladesh is facing the worst heatwave in the history. The slum-dwellers spend most of their time outside. So, they are more at risk of having a heatstroke. So, raising awareness about the signs, treatment, and prevention of heatstroke is essential. Our sponsored children participated in the heatstroke awareness program, learning about the safety measures themselves and spreading awareness in the neighborhood.
Considering the kids’ safety, this activity was done in the afternoons throughout the week whenever the heat was at its lowest. Also, there were water bottles, saline, and glucose to keep the kids hydrated.
