When we don't wash our hands with soap and clean, running water, we spread many germs that can make people sick. That is why handwashing is essential, especially after using the restroom, preparing food, before eating, and coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose. Handwashing with soap and water is simple and inexpensive, and it can reduce the number of sick children in young children significantly. Teaching people how to wash their hands keeps them and their communities healthy.
With our sponsored children, we observed Global Handwashing Day. Global Handwashing Day serves as a yearly reminder that washing our hands with soap and water is one of the most effective ways to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Our sponsored children took part in the program and spread the word about it.
